Do you remember the days of L.A. Gear runners? The line was created by Robert Greenberg (now owner of Skechers) in 1979. He began with a line of basketball shoes that were worn by athletes such as: Karl Malone, Joe Montana and Wayne Gretsky. They were also endorsed by Paula Abdul and Michael Jackson. In 1992 they came up with L.A. Lights! These were the runners that lit up when you stepped on them. Did any of you own a pair of these way back when?
The revival of the L.A. Gear label is thanks to Netherlands Company Club Zonder Filter. Here are a pair from the line. They come complete with pink bows and rhinestones! I would definitely not wear them..but it will be interesting to see the response to them!

those shoes are so ugly, make Ur feet look terrible and to me they make they look pretty stinky.. :z
I wish I had a pair with the lights when I was wee! I wanted them so bad but my mom thought they were silly and wouldn't let me get them! As for the new ones, pretty hid.
I know! I just think it's so funny that they are trying to bring them back. I remember having the ones with the lights..they were so much fun. I doubt they lasted long though !
Hahaha thanks for the elementary school throwback! My mom was like Kelsey's and wouldn't let me get them. I was strictly a Keds kid growing up.
Wow! Blast from the past!!

P.S. Love the title of this post :)
Oh man, I could never wear these again. They horrified me the first time around.
Oh Paula, she used to be so cool...
I always wanted light up shoes when i was little (and little shiney black shoes with a bow and tiny heel) but my mum never got them for me either - impractical where her words!!
hehe, I talked about Paula today too. :-0
