Gowns Galore - New York Fashion Week

A few more from New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013!  Love these gorgeous gowns perfect for any red carpet.  While black is always flattering, a bold pop of color will also capture attention!

More New York Fashion Week Highlights: Black and White

Paris Fashion week is roaring away, but I still have a few highlights from New York Fashion Week to share. I went through all of the collections on my iPad and saved them all for a later day, only to discover that I had saved mostly black and white looks!  Black and White was shown by many of the designers for the Spring/Summer 2013 season.  Take a look!

New York Fashion Week - Kate Spade

Finally had a chance to check out some of the latest Spring 2013 fall collections at New York Fashion Week.  Loved the geometrics and patterns of the Kate Spade collection.  So fun!  More posts to come!

St. John Spring 2012 Ready to Wear

More from the Ready to Wear Collections of 2012 at New York Fashion Week.  For some reason I have this sinking feeling that a lot of the collections this season are not wearable or even beautiful.  I think if the fashions are stunning and beautifully made, it's understandable if they are not entirely realistic.  Unfortunately, I have been underwhelmed so far and am determined to feature labels that are body conscious, flattering and wearable.  On a more positive note, I love this collection by St. John.  The pieces are well tailored, flattering and chic at the same time.

United Bamboo-Spring 2012 RTW

Love this collection by United Bamboo for Spring 2012 Ready to Wear.  Designer Thuy Pham says of the collection he and Miho Aoki created, "we just wanted to make real clothes".  Loved the black and white and pieces that can be mixed and matched.  It's true, many of the other shows over the last two days at New York Fashion Week have been composed of clothes that are not even realistic or wearable.  These are fantastic and wearable too!
