Rachel Zoe Comes to Canada (Holt Renfrew)

Rachel Zoe finally came to Canada! Yesterday she spent some time at Holt Renfrew signing autographs and presenting her Fall 2011 Collection to the media. I was actually a little bit disappointed by Holt Renfrew's presentation of the event. First off, if they really wanted to sell a ton of Rachel's fabulous items, they should have had everyone come an hour early and mingle. They should have provided a few treats and a representative at Holts should have given a small presentation about the collection and perhaps "favorite pieces of Holts staff"! Instead, we came at two and lined up like we were in a book store waiting for a signature. There was a priority line if you bought something of Rachel's and then the line for everyone else. I just thought that everyone came to meet Rachel and there was absolutely no encouragement to buy her clothes! Come on Holts! There was also a large amount of staff just hanging around watching. They should have been mingling with guests and interacting and talking about the clothes with the BUYERS!!!! I don't normally like to criticize or present harsh views on this blog because I try and stay positive, BUT Rachel Zoe was so fabulous and I feel she really deserved the best and it could have been better!

So, meeting Rachel Zoe! She was so fabulous and friendly. She spent at least five minutes with everyone: she shook their hands, asked what they did and talked about them. There are not many celebs or designers willing to spend time with fans like that! She really is the tiniest woman, but she is so warm and I hope her collection does well here. There are a lot of great pieces in this collection. I fell in love with one of her fabulous capes and all of the pieces have fantastic detailing. It's definitely worth taking a look. What a great day :)
