Fashion and Fun visits Vancouver

First day of her visit, Anthy worked the whole day!  Right after that, we flew out the door to see Legally Blonde, at Malkin Bowl, (Theatre Under the Stars) at Stanley Park.  Still observing the 3 month challenge, we're dressed in favs from My Sister's Closet.  (Coral clutch is a gift from Kate Tsoukalas)

Patrick Kelly Exhibit in Philadelphia

You may have seen my post about my Adventures in Philadelphia. While I was there, I had the opportunity to see an amazing Patrick Kelly exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art called "Patrick Kelly: Runway of Love".

Patrick Kelly wanted his clothes "to make you smile". He is known for his bright, exciting and playful fashion designs. He was renowned for his designs on the streets, in the nightclubs and runways of New York and Paris during the 1980s. The exhibit showcases eighty of his designs, runway show videos and photographs that were recently gifted to the museum by Kelly's life partner Bjorn Guil Amelan and Bill T. Jones. I thoroughly enjoyed his colorful and vibrant designs in this beautifully curated museum. A treat for me and a must see if you are in Philadelphia! The exhibit is running until December, 7 2014.

Here Comes Summer at Blushing Boutique, Vancouver!

Yes, another fabulous fashion and networking event. July 9th at Blushing Boutique, the jewel that brings lots of shine to Richards Street.  Love these evenings because they're always full of opportunities to see the latest clothes that fit and flatter and to meet local artists and designers.  Relaxed but lively atmosphere and time to get your cards read and have some additional pampering, usually nails and make-up but anticipate something new, each time.

Wonderful sales, expert fittings and the latest colors and styles.

Can't ever resist saying hi to Audrey, (really a bit of Shelley's own story) by Monica Blichar of MAB Ventures, Inc.  Monica is not only the creator of ART World Vancouver, but also brings women entrepreneurs together (Diamond Dolls) often at Blushing Boutique.

Fajo Magazine's Summer Social

Another fantastic event hosted by Fajo Magazine! On Wednesday, July 16th, we gathered at the Distillery District's Arta Gallery for some very fashionable fun! Editor-in-chief Hannah Yakobi has a gift for bringing talent together. Her events always feature top Toronto talent in fashion design, food and music. Thanks to the Fajo Magazine Team for a wonderful experience and opportunity to meet some amazing vendors and designers.
