What a dull and uninteresting world it would be without Haute Couture. We must continue to show our support for the ever dwindling number of designers who create collections for Paris Haute Couture week. It's no wonder fewer designers are creating: these pieces took over 2,000 hours to cut and over 4,000 hours to sew! This season Riccardo Tisci was inspired by Japan, robot toys and dance Kazuo Ohno. Philip Treacy created the hats (inspired by robots) for the show. The collection was quite elegant and stunning, but lacked the color and drama of spring. This piece is very reminiscent of a Japanese kimono. The folding at the waste is similar to the obe belt as are the v cut neck and strong shoulders. Love the delicate touch of pink here.
