I just recently discovered "The Fashion Show" and while I do feel guilty for having not discovered it sooner, I do have a good excuse, I was in Japan last year!! Anyways, I have only watched the first three episodes of the second season and have already found myself addicted. The show is very similar to Project Runway, but is hosted by Iman and Isaac Mizrahi! In all honesty I have found that Project Runway has become boring and monotonous. I still haven't watched the most recent season and haven't felt the need to do so. The cattyness has been missing from the last few seasons. Now I know the focus should be on the clothes and the clothes alone, but viewers do need some backstage drama and good old fashioned show of competition.
Each week on "The Fashion Show" two houses of designers compete to create a collection of pieces under a set theme. They have to work together to ensure the collections are cohesive and dramatic. There have been several yelling matches and one withdrawal in the first few episodes and I have found myself itching to see what happens in the next episode. Both Iman and Isaac are never afraid to tell the designers just how hideous or fabulous their creations are. They also do not hesitate to tell them they are being ridiculous. If you haven't watched "The Fashion Show" yet, then I highly recommend it!!

Whatever has happened to Tim Gunn? Love these shows where designers have to show their skills. They still need to think about the non runway model though and clothes for the rest of us.
