Jeanne Beker at The Bay

Written by: Colleen Tsoukalas on location in Vancouver

On Tuesday, Oct. 26th The Bay downtown hosted another fantastic event featuring Jeanne Beker, host of Fashion Television (and much more) and Edit, her new line of clothing. (She says she's the editor, not the designer) I found a very cute faux fur black jacket, beautifully tailored white shirt, classic black pants and of course, her favourite, that little black dress. There are reds, and camels as well as black and white and the entire collection is infinitely practical and affordable. Her inspiration is real women and the collection is for all of us.

See it again at the Toronto Bay Downtown at six o'clock on Thursday night!

Jeanne talked about how she would like to see more technology in fashion: clothes that transform before our eyes, clothes that come with scents, clothes that are self laundering - a true marriage of technology and fashion. The trend now, is no trend. It is a time of endless possibilities. Jeanne cites blogging as one of the advances of technology and talked about her start with a tape recorder, interviewing rock stars, to the innovative beginning of Fashion Television - no script - no revisions. Fashion is her passion and we celebrated her visit, her collection, her leadership and her inspiration! Thanks to The Bay for yet another well organized and exciting event.
