Obon Vacation-Hiroshima Part One

Well it is time to post about another vacation! It was an amazing nine day trip. It was just Makensie and I this trip as most of our friends had family visiting. We did meet up with some friends at the end of our adventure but that is for another post! I will have to break up my vacation into about five or six posts because we visited so many places. We visited Hirsoshima, Shiraishi-jima Island, Shikoku and Okayama.

First stop, Hiroshima. We stayed at the amazing Flex Hotel which was quite close to the train station. They were really helpful when we asked them about places to eat for dinner and things to do in Hiroshima. For lunch they recommended their own restaurant/cafe and we were not disappointed. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed a delicious lunch of pasta, salad and wine. Even though it was raining, it was beautiful and the service was top notch.

In the evening they recommended the restaurant Molly Malones where we had fish and chips! I have not had proper fish and chips since leaving Vancouver eight months ago. It was a fabulous treat and we had a blast. Then it was on to Barcos, a fun bar. We played darts, met some foreigners but it was not very busy, being a Sunday night. We decided to visit Jammin Bar and wait for the crowd to pick up. We spent a short time there before returning to Barcos to dance the rest of the night away! What a great start!

That was day one of Obon Vacation. The next post will be on day two in Hiroshima. We visited the Memorial and Miyajima. Stay tuned..

We had a litle trouble with

seem to work properly.
We still don't know who won!
