After getting off the ferry we walked into the little town and were surprised to find deer everywhere! Deer are often found in sacred places in Japan but I have never seen any so tame. They were walking up to people and were mostly friendly until one tried to eat Makensie's bag! Apparently you can walk up the mountain and view Miyajima and Hiroshima from above but we didn't have enough time. The site was beautiful and definitely worth stopping by if you visit Hiroshima. That is all from Hiroshima! The next post will be about our adventure on Shiraishi-jima Island in Okayama! Stay tuned..
In other news, I have some really great interviews coming up with local Vancouver designers and artists!

Poor Makensie got her bag torn apart by one
eager deer. They were a little scary but so cute!
There were hundreds of crabs in the sand!
Of course I wore my cute flats so I had
to walk out there barefoot with much
convincing on Makensie's part! EEK!
I was glad I walked out there though, it is
the second largest Tori in Japan!
What a site to see <3

The view from outside our hotel.
If you are in the area, definitely look
at staying at the Flex Hotel!
It was top notch!

Fantastic photos, Anthea! Haha I don't like the sound of those purse-eating deer.
Looking forward to your interviews!
