New Fashion Books at Your Library!

These books were recommended to me by a fabulous librarian at VPL! I have not had a chance to read these ones as they are from the reference collection! If you are a fashion student or working in the fashion industry, it is definitely worth stopping by your local public library and checking out their fashion book collection. You might be pleasantly surprised.

I think the 100 New Fashion Designers looks the most appealing because it seems like new designers are often overlooked, especially during this recession. The focus has remained on labels that we know and trust, even Christian Siriano is having a difficult time selling his latest collection. Bergdorfs and Saks decided not to pick up his collection and so he is now designing a line for Payless Shoes. See original article here. I am considering buying a subscription to Women's Wear Daily.
