Walker hats are uniquely spectacular and you can get one especially made for you, for any occasion! William is a deft hand at whatever he puts his very creative mind to: hats, molds and stands for hats, fascinators, hat pins, and accessories galore. He makes purses and dresses too, but oh, the hats, they are glorious to behold.
Preparing to set up a huge window display (July 1) of the History of The Hudson Bay Co, 1670 on, and The Beaver Hat, at the Roundhouse Community Centre, Willam had all of his hat molds ready and production is well under way for his Spring/Summer Collection of Hats and more, at the Art Mart, there, July 4, 2015. William will have his hats displayed on a slowly revolving hat stand, that has his genius for invention stamped all over it. He will have the extraordinary window display, the to die for collection of hats and accessories and will be demonstrating his exquisite hat making skills on the 4th, as well. So lucky to have such an artist in our midst.
I love fashion and have always worn hats, so it was a delight to interview William Walker and try on his hats, see his workspace and have tea with him (see previous interview here). When I told him that I was going to Terry Sasaki's Art, Jewellery and Fashion show at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden, (exhibit on throughout June) William invited me to wear a big, beautiful white hat, with fascinator, for the event.
So many admirers, and I wasn't even on the runway. Here I am wearing the beauty and here is Denise, someone else who loves the elegance of a statement like this. Next event, Dinner En Blanc or Deighton Cup, anyone?
