New York Fashion Week Fall 2010 Part 2

A few more fashion week looks. I am now working on the tail end of fashion week looks. It seems vintage looks and layering are most popular on the runways so far.

On another note..is anyone watching the Vancouver Olympic coverage? Have you been watching the men's figure skating? The men's long program will be coming up soon! Do watch for some fantastic costumes and sky high jumping!

Alice and Olivia

Love this collection full of great party pieces. The designer Stacey Bendet, sent a variety of fun and flirty looks down the runway. All of the pieces looked well paired together and would function equally well as separates. Loved the cropped gold jacket with accentuated shoulders . The hats brought all of the looks together and made me want to put on one and go prancing out the door to a party wearing a fantastic sequined dress, heels and a blazer!

Charlotte Ronson

Most of the time Charlotte Ronson's collections are a little too much for me, but there are always a few pieces that really stand out. I loved these two looks. The layers and the shininess and of course I am a sucker for a great pair of harem pants. Another interesting and out there collection by Charlotte Ronson.

Christian Siriano

Christian's collection was inspired by European women in the sixties. Christian really does do dresses and gowns the best. The ruffling, layering and unique cuts are always his signature. As is always encouraged on Project Runway, there were some separates as well. Another fantastic collection by Christian. There will never be anyone who tops Christian on Project Runway. The show hasn't been the same since!

Jason Wu

This season's collection was inspired by Irving Penn himself and his photographs. My jaw didn't drop upon viewing Wu's collection this year. It somehow didn't quite seem cohesive. Nevertheless there were a few of his fantastic gowns which he is so well for.

Lacoste

I have only recently become a fan of Lacoste. They seem to be one of the few that can really do vibrant colors well. I always feel a little lighter after seeing their shows. Capes, cropped jackets and belted layered looks all in bright colors illuminated on a yellow runway. You'd think the yellow would take away from the clothes, but it only made it better. Here's to a brighter fall!

Nicole Miller

More layering and separates from a harder collection presented by Nicole Miller. There were also some great futuristic dresses that looked very futuristic.

Ohne Titel

This year Ohne Titel's designers Flora Gill and Alexa Adams are focusing on keeping prices down and increasing their customer base, as reported by Style.com's Meenal Mistry. There were some unique variations on leggings and leather, cool layering and great draping. The color scheme revolved around an earth tones palette. Definitely a step in the right direction!
