Since being in Japan I have discovered the amazing store Uniqlo! It is full of fabulous basics in beautiful colors, all at very reasonable prices. It is especially find to hard clothes that fit in Japan. Everyone is very tiny! I had my first Uniqlo experience in Osaka and today I am going to Shizuoka to see what they have in store! It is similar to American Apparel but a lot cheaper! They have everything you could ever need: from basic tees and undergarments to suits and blouses. It's easy to get lost in the variety of choices for any one garment you are looking for!

It has just recently been reported that Jil Sander has signed a deal to oversee the company and their designs. The company has not released any information about how long she will be collaborating with them. Jil Sander has apparently had a lot of offers for collaborations recently but decided to work solely with Uniqlo. Chairman Tadashi Yanai credits Jil with "creating the modern basic." It will be exciting to see what she does for the company and I will get to see it all happen in the next year! So cool! Now if only there was a Uniqlo near me...
I still have Uniqlo socks and a couple of shirts from my time there. Ah, natsukashii!
I love their heat tech camis and I've heard wonderful things about their skinny jeans.
