Project Runway Episode Three

Can someone please tell me what's going on with Project Runway this season? The outfits were only mediocre again! Is it just that no one can compare to Christian?? This episode the designers actually had their own choice of fabrics, which allowed them to show who they were. Tim Gunn took them out on a bus tour of New York and dropped them off at different locations. They were given cameras to take pictures of things that they thought represented New York and would serve as their inspirations for the challenge. Some of the images were stunning, but the clothes were not. These outfits were intended for a night out on the town. Instead of doing two posts, I narrowed it down to top three and bottom four. I really enjoy reading your comments! Let me know what you think :)

My Top Three:

Leanne-She took a picture of the base of a planter. This is actually two pieces which is very functional. Quite stunning really.

Korto-Jumpers are really popular right now, and this is very elegant. It can be worn by anyone. Korto is definitely a contender in this competition.

Kenley-She won the competition. I really like this dress, it's unique and really showcases Kenley's '40's style. I do have to agree with Michael Kors who said that this dress doesn't appeal to all body types.

My Bottom Four:

Jennifer-This one is pretty bad. The colors match her photo of the clock, but it just looks terrible. It looks unfinished and "matronly" as Heidi put it. I actually think she should have had to say good bye this round.

Terri-EEK! The judges actually really liked this. I think it's terrible! It's too baggy and ill fitting. Would you wear this?

Emily-She was the loser this round. She took an overexposed image of lights and the colors were supposed to represent that. Unfortunately the ruffles empasized the wrong areas. It just looks a little odd.

Blayne, Blayne, Blayne-What else can I say? This is a terrible outfit! I can't believe they keep putting him through. I imagine it's because he is so strange and keeps the show interesting, sort of! He is starting to get really annoying with his "liscious" this and that. He even called Tim Gunn "Timliscious," but Tim is always a good sport. Who would wear this?
