Alfonso Arnold's Photographic Exhibit and Fundraiser for Nepal: A Journey of Spirit, People and Place

I have seen a great deal of Alfonso Arnold's fantastic photography at many fashion events, notably at Vancouver ECO Fashion Week. So, when I was invited to his fundraiser for Nepal, I knew I was in for a travel photography treat, and last Wednesday, Dec. 2, this was absolutely the case.

Alfonso set the stage by sharing his philosophy. In the section about Truth, he writes that the photos are not artificially enhanced; his vision is to show what is naturally beautiful. He is able to capture images that tell an important story. The stories are factual, respectful and transformative. I want to visit.

I couldn't resist a set of post cards, which will be framed, rather than written on or sent. I would love to see more sets of cards at different events. So many photographs and experiences to remember.
Loved the music and friendly, welcoming atmosphere at this special event. Every photograph was individually mounted in frames collected and skillfully reworked by Alfonso.

Musicians Spring Berkeley (fiddle) and Timothy Hewitt (acoustic/vocals) as well as DJ Scott Catolico, Musaeid AlHarbi and Gian Luca, Solo, kept us dancing and humming. Excellent food was prepared by Aarti Trivedi and Candace Panagapko did the wine.

Thank you, Alfonso and team for the invitation and inspiration.  Connect at http://www.alfonsoarnold.com/.
