World MasterCard Fashion Week - David Dixon

Written by Colleen Tsoukalas (Treasure Seeker Colleen)

Prefaced by a dated and hilarious BBC video about the 'proper' and 'socially acceptable' role for women of days long past, this collection brought on the statement making, powerful and accomplished woman of today.

This is a woman who knows herself and the designs (Dixon, of course) that work best for her.  Everything fits perfectly and the blacks and whites are the colors of Fall, with dazzling light and then darkening skies and always the glitter and sparkle of ice.  The colors are used in infinite variations, paired together, in patterns and in textures.  A froth of black, a stripe of white and then, the brilliance of blue, a royal color, cool yet vibrant.

Loved the suit jackets elegant but providing ease of movement.  Loved the black dress with the flowered but not floral skirt and matching earrings.

Kudos to Rita Tesolin for her stunning jewelry collection; I want it all!
The special thanks to family, friends, supports and team are such a gracious finale and David Dixon always includes this in all of his outstanding shows.
So thanks to you and may the glass ceiling collapse under the sheer weight of such talent.
