This is Bill Gaytten's first collection flying solo since the departure of John Galliano. The headpieces were designed by Stephen Jones and make-up by Pat McGrath. Interesting that the collection was panned by Style.com as Tim Blanks called it "some kind of crazy cosmic metaphor." Of course it's definitely outside of what Dior usually does, but isn't that what couture is all about? It's nice to see a break from the norm, but that's just my opinion. I loved the colors and playful skirts and tops. I particularly loved the seventies inspired dresses (see second to last image). What did you think of the collection? Do you think it was a disaster?

I love these so much. I wonder if I have anything in my H&M/Banana Republic/Urban Outfitters bibs and bobs that could possibly replicate the second photo. I'm guessing....no?
