Spotlight Designer Showcase/Opus and The Bay

Thursday May 27 was a beautiful evening and a fabulous event at OPUS BAR put on by The Bay to celebrate the release of Sex and the City 2! The Province newspaper called this a VIP event and featured a great write-up with photos, Friday May 28th. The OPUS is a super setting, with bright orange and pink furniture, fancy bar stools and glitter everywhere. Very welcoming staff and bars in each of the 4 rooms of the show. We were treated to signature drinks and appies and also had the option of having a great dinner. (Try the Creme Brule) This was truly a chance to network with other fashionistas, bloggers and writers. Models wearing Halston and other designs featured in the movie, provided even more glam and colour throughout the evening. Even Mr. Big made an appearance. Many prizes including watches, perfumes (SJP) and stays at the OPUS were announced at 9 and the whole place quieted in anticipation. On the second floor, The Bay had a huge collection for sale, so there was plenty of activity throughout the evening. Really love the way a giant retailer and a number l hotel can creatively team up to rev up the fashion scene in Vancouver. And was there fashion? Everyone who took part in this celebration wore fabulous outfits, sky high heels, fantastic hair styles and could have been in our own Project Vancouver or Our City Rocks. A big thank you to The Bay for the gift back souvenir of the night! It contained a pink cosmetic bag with mascara by YSL, a Mr. Big Chocolate Bar, SJP and Halston Woman Perfumes, SKYY Vodka and other 'surprises'. This was yet another of The Bay's not to be missed Fashion Shows. It was a treat!
