Jeanne Beker to Speak in Vancouver-Saturday November 22

This Saturday evening Jeanne Beker and Vicki Gabereau will be speaking at the Opening Gala for the Jewish Book Festival. The event is taking place at the Norman Rothstein Theatre and begins at 7:30. Before she began her career as a fashion journalist for Fashion Television, Jeanne Beker studied theatre. She went to the York University Theatre Program and then studied Mime with Étienne Decroux. She then became an entertainment and lifestyle reporter for 1050 Chum and later helped to create the NewMusic show. In 1985 she became the host of the famous Fashion Television.

Jeanne has participated in many different areas of the fashion industry. She has helped to create clothing lines for Eaton's and Sears and is currently the editor of FQ Magazine and Sir. She has published three books: Jeanne Unbottled: Adventures in High Style, The Big Night Out and Passion for Fashion: Careers in Style. Watch a clip of her interview with Steven and Chris.
