Victoria Fashion Splash! February 29, 2020

Photos and writing by Dianna Drahanchuk

An impressive line-up of models auditioned for this upcoming event. A short walk up and down the floor in front of the fashion panel was held at Victoria’s Central Library. Joseph Gonyeau is the show's producer, Erin Bradley the fashion coordinator has make-up, hair and styling experience, and fashionista Aisling Goodman became a model at the age of fourteen. The show will present 11 eco friendly designers, all local islanders. About three quarters of the pieces will be upcycle/recycle with a high-fashion focus.

Plus there will be live music and a silent auction. Proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will go towards supporting Victoria Women’s Transition House Society whose mandate is to “collaborate, advocate and educate to address and prevent intimate partner violence and abuse of women and children through supportive shelter, housing, counselling and other community-based services”. This is going to be a well-rounded community experience with support for local designers/artisans, the environment, and a good social cause. And a great reason to visit Victoria on February 29th.
