RAW is always an exciting introduction to established and new Artists who paint, illustrate, animate, decorate, adorn, perform, make movies, take superb photographs and much more. Held over two evenings Celebrities Nightclub, this was our great opportunity to be completely surrounded by talent and more talent. I was especially pleased to meet GeorgiaGoto, currently in third year at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She is planning a career as a Graphic Artist and this is her first show. I loved the vibrant colour in her work, and her display attracted many visitors for the evening. Art is very much a part of her family, as her mom is Designer Giovanna Ricci.
Dianna Drahanchuk and I, cameras in hand, were warmly welcomed to RAW, by Rocky JeSuisRocky, musician, writer, snack eater and great greeter. Music, performances, get your portrait painted, have your best photo done, meet the Artists, buy local, learn how to get your own career started, so much to do in this two day, annual event that is not to be missed.
