What a magnificent trip this is turning out to be! Yesterday, I met some friends who are part of the wedding party and we ended up spending the morning at the Prada outlet in Montevarchi, Tuscany. It was the most wonderful experience and the prices were the best I have ever seen. Couldn't believe how packed it was either!
I initially set out to buy a purse or wallet, but thought a wallet would just end up getting ruined with use and probably wouldn't last. I wasn't willing to shell out over $500 Canadian for a purse either. Shoes were also out for the same reason; but my friend tried on these beautiful Miu Miu oxfords and at 50 Euros, I couldn't say no!!! Also, came across this beautiful studded Prada belt for 80 Euros. Steals right?!
Tips for outlet shopping in Italy
- Set a goal/budget beforehand - How much and what are you looking for specifically? It will make it easier to shop and focus.
- If you're on a budget, look for nice accessories or something that will last a lifetime and be a memory to share with others. How great is it to say "Oh these? They're from Italy!"
- Check the prices - I discovered that the belt buckle and belt were priced separately
- Take your time and look places other than where the crowds are - look for gems!
