Greta Constantine - SS '13 Runway Show

I have officially seen my first Greta Constantine show and I was not disappointed!  The latest SS '13 collection lived up to all of my expectations.  Hosted in the Distillery District's "Fermenting Cellar", the show took place during a very unexpected time of the year and was a wonderful escape from thoughts of Christmas parties, presents, shopping and to-do lists.  The designers decided that a show post fashion week would shorten the time between the runway event and when the dresses are available for purchase.  Convenient for those of us on the hunt for the perfect holiday party dress!

The Event:
The red lighting in the large venue created a mysterious and almost haunting effect as the crowd filed in.  As the lights brightened and the show started, fashionably late of course, the room changed to a purple color and the models entered through a side door.  The collection consisted of three color schemes: navy blue, black and white.  There were hints of the typical grecian dresses the "Jersey Boys" are known for, but this collection featured more structured dresses and asymmetrical cut outs and necklines.  The head pieces reminded me of something from a Sci-Fi flick and created very dramatic, show stopping look.  A remarkable show and I am thrilled to have attended!  See my photos below.  What are your favorite looks?
