Lucian Matis Spring 2012 Toronto

This was my first time attending a Lucian Matis runway show since I volunteered at Toronto Fashion Week over 4 years ago! It was a show not to be missed! The lovely Anne Cayer let me know about the Fashion Calendar which provides a list of all of the great shows this month! Lucian's PR team was very impressive and still put me on the RSVP list day of. They responded quickly and timely to emails and seemed very organized during the show. There was a good turnout of guests and some fantastic goodies too. The venue was 99 Sudbury and the vintage vibe and great lighting gave it a glamorous and chic look. The music was strong and energized the audience as each look more beautiful than the last entered the runway. Evening gowns are what Lucian did the best for this collection. The purple, teal and red gowns were exquisite and the crowd soaked them up. I wasn't entirely a fan of the nude flesh tone colors, but they were still beautifully crafted and designed. The sheerness of the fabrics remind me of my wedding dress, but no hints! That will come soon enough!
