Stationery from Vancouver and Toronto

We don't often get the chance to send letters anymore, but isn't it wonderful to have beautiful stationery around when we do? A beautiful card is a simple way to say: thank you, I'm thinking of you or even just to cheer someone up who is having a bad day or week.

I have not found very many stores in Toronto that stationery like they do in Japan, although the Paper Place on Queen is quite good. Here are a few others : The Papery (Yorkville), Paper Things (Yorkville), Red Pegasus (College) and the Bata Shoe Museum.

Of course, all of these beautiful cards (below) are from Treasure Seeker Colleen in Vancouver. Here are her favorite places to buy cards: Book Warehouse (Homer Street), The Vancouver Public Library Gift Shop (Homer Street), The Silk Purse Art Gallery in West Vancouver, Value Village, The Japanese Spring Sales or Festivals or the Nikkei Centre (Burnaby), Craft Fairs, Portobello West Fashion and Art Market, Creekside Community Recreation Centre (Vancouver), The Croation Centre's Antique and Flea Markets, Granville Island Postcard Shop and Granville Island Market stores, Museum and Art Galleries.

Would love to see cards made by your favourite Pedi and Mani store! They are true artists. Can just imagine sets of designs and different hands or even feet in sandals and fab shoes. Honest, they could do it. Imagine getting your stuff done and then being able to buy sets of cards as gifts or for your own stationery.
