Wow - Wearable Art Exhibit from New Zealand - Currently on at Emp Museum, Seattle

This is an absolutely dazzling exhibit, accompanied by a video of life performance! As they say, "...one part fashion show, one part Cirque Du Soleil and one part Eurovision." The World of Wearable Art originates in Wellington and is attended by over 55,000 people, mid September through October. They come from all over to see dance, theatre, music, art and the utterly fantastic, in this performance extravaganza. If you were in this show, you would wear cities, books, cars, suits of armor, visions from the past and into the future. You would command the room, dance through it, cast a spell, drive the highway, battle, anything you can imagine. Find out more here and here and more about the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) here and the Emp Museum here.

We also have the Wearable Art Exhibit/event in Port Moody, every 2 years and I always go. See previous coverage for 2013 and 2011.

Next one here in Vancouver, is coming up this Spring. Watch for the ads and hope to see you there. Spectacular and beautiful event.
