It was standing room only at VFW's gala opening night. The event got underway with remarks and presentations by dignitaries congratulating VFW on their 15 successful year run. Everyone's favourite hostess Simone kept the party going in her usual hearty extravagant manner.
The show was a truly international scene with one preview look presented by talented designers from all over the world, starting with Kuala Lumpur, India, followed by looks from Denmark, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, The Netherlands, Africa, Hong Kong, London, the US and many others as well as Canada and Vancouver.
The intermissions between sets were equally exciting. Designers and their models mingled with the audience who was also dressed to be seen, in fact there was a prize for “Best Dressed”. Happily, people at this event wore more colour than at most artistic events in this city, making it an all in all a quite enjoyable spectacle.
