3rd Floor Studio's Shoshanah Kuper

During the summer I met and interviewed up and coming designer Shoshanah of 3rd Floor Studio. Her looks are perfect for those of you dreaming of summer or even of a fabulous dress for that upcoming ballet gala, fabulous 2014 party or the upcoming Toronto Fashion Week. Shoshanah, a Ryerson student, has been making and selling her own line in addition to her school commitments since June 2011. As her final year comes to a close, she is already focusing on expanding her line and perfecting her craft and business!

I first met Shoshanah at a Gladstone Hotel fashion event where she had her dresses on display. She was eager to show me her designs and explain how she creates her looks. Shortly after the event, I visited her in her studio where she shared her work, patterns, space and inspirations.

Shoshanah's designs are beautifully made with fun floral prints in figure flattering cuts. One of her trade marks is her diamond shaped cut out backs. Her designs are handmade locally and she inspects and approves all designs before they leave the studio. Loved her beautifully bright studio space, her enthusiasm and her determination to continue designing her own line upon graduation. Looking forward to seeing more!

You can find her designs in store at Coal Miner's Daughter, Black DaffodilSylvie and Shimmy and online on Etsy.
