One horrible rainy day last week, Stefania Yarhi of the blog, Textstyles.ca, sent me a beautiful box of fashion cards that I was lucky enough to win through her contest. The blog is a great one and it is so much fun to connect by reading, commenting and of course, receiving gifts! The 12 cards are by Monica Smiley of eighty seventh St. and you can see more of her fabulous art at eightyseventhst.com. The twelve days of fashion are wrapped in a black ribbon and because the lid is a clear one, you are instantly inclined to tear open the package to get a look at the designers in: Twelve Days of Fashion. "On the twelfth day of Fashion my true love gave to me: twelve dream designers, eleven pairs of shoes, ten legs-a-showing, nine ladies shopping..."
So each card is one day of fashion, color, design and humor. Being a blogger, my favorite is day four: four fashion BLOGGERS, including Tavi. The cards truly represent Heart, humor, and haute couture - which is what eighty seventh St. is all about. Thanks for bringing some sun to Vancouver, Stefania and Monica! We sure need more fashion cards and I would love to see these for sale at Fashion Weeks and events, everywhere!
