My Sister's Closet - Nicole Miller Vintage

Treasure Seeker Colleen and I were up to our usual antics during my trip to Vancouver.  Before our fabulous Hawksworth Restaurant lunch, my Mum insisted on taking me to My Sister's Closet on Seymour Street in downtown Vancouver.  You can see the previous event Colleen covered at My Sister's Closet last year by clicking here.

My Sister's Closet is a retail store in Vancouver launched by the Battered Women's Support Services that provides free clothing and household goods to women rebuilding their lives, funds violence prevention programs and supports women in the community.   Everything is washed and steamed beautifully and in mint condition.  If you are a vintage shopper, it should be on your weekend "to visit" list!

I really felt like my purchase was going to a good cause and the staff were so friendly and took many pictures of me in my vintage feathered Nicole Miller ball gown (see below).  Here's to empowering women!  Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Will be completing some alterations as it's a tad too big - Stay tuned!

Are you kidding me with that dress? It is FABULOUS on you, can't wait to see how you style it! What a great concept, I work at Dress for Success and we open the boutique for public to shop as a fundraiser twice a year, shopping for a good cause!
