Downton Abbey is Back!

Downton Abbey is back for a third season!  The British-American period drama written by Julian Fellows follows the lives of the British aristocracy and their servants in the Edwardian and post-Edwardian periods.  The Guinness Book of World Records has named the show the most critically acclaimed of 2011 and was the most watched television show on ITV and PBS, making it the most popular costume drama series since Brideshead Revisited (1981).  It has also won a Golden Globe for best Miniseries and a Primetime Emmy for outstanding Miniseries.

Julian Fellows has revealed season three to include: a financial crisis, weddings, political unrest and more deaths.  Shirley MacLaine also makes an appearance this season!  Check out Fashion Magazine's season recap's here - they will also be recapping every Monday.  The show airs Sunday nights at 9pm ET on PBS if you want to check it out and haven't already.  I do recommend going back and watching the first two seasons though as there is a lot to catch up on.  If you love fashion, you should watch simply for the beautiful costumes!
