Aldrin Delumen, Fashion Designer and Creative Thinker

Written by Colleen Tsoukalas (Treasure Seeker Colleen)

Aldrin is a very recent Fashion Design and Merchandising Program Graduate of The Art Institute of Vancouver. In November, I saw highlights from his Menswear line on the runway at the AI Graduates’ Fashion Show. You will see the gorgeously tailored, classic suits with pops of color, military style capes, jackets and coats, and wonderful accessories like the brilliant yellow bow ties with chain details.  Check out his website here.

Aldrin’s outstanding contributions to the fashion show were color, light and movement.   There was dancing, there were animated models who looked so comfortable yet sartorial, and there were accessories: page boy hats, ray ban sunglasses, bow ties, buttons, bags and cases. His presentation for his show, his portfolio and he, himself – all are an illumination, a bright light and a bright future for Vancouver and, of course, world fashion.

In a lunchtime interview, between school and work, (Lulu Lemon Athletica) Aldrin brings energy, style, ideas and his portfolio. Although he showed his portfolio in September, The Art Institute features a student portfolio event, December 18th. Since Aldrin’s fantastic collection exemplifies the high level of student achievement at AI, you can expect to see more dynamic fashions at the show. You will find unique design, fit, and finishing that would be impossible to find anywhere else.
