First Stop Mammoth California

Well it's back to the daily grind again after a fantastic Valentine's long weekend.  I visited wonderful California and my Valentine for a lovely getaway.  It's always too short, but it's better than nothing!  Our first stop was Mammoth Ski Resort.  Unfortunately on the long six hour drive up, we saw signs for  flights to Mammoth from LA.  It would have only been an hour long flight that would have cost under one hundred dollars each. Whoops!  Oh well, it was worth it and I really enjoyed the scenery on the way up.  Most of the scenic car photos are taken with my iPad, which shows it's high quality photo taking ability. 

We won't be visiting California much after the summer, but I would still like to go back and visit Mammoth to ski.  I am not the world's greatest skiier, but always have a great time.  The only thing I didn't like was the very peak of the mountain.  The level is quite advanced and with the snow and wind, I managed to wipe out!  Still, my Valentine adores skiing and so it is something we will keep up.  Hopefully my confidence increases with more practice!  Can't wait for the next adventure.  LA and Venice beach pictures coming up next!
