Japan Fashion Week !

Today is the first day of New York Fashion Week and the last day of Japan Fashion Week. I will be leaving for Japan in a few months so I thought I would do a post about some Japanese designers. It is clear that Japanese designers are innovative and willing to take risks to create unique and eye catching collections. Bravo! Here are a few selections from this week's shows:
I'd love to hear what you think :)

Gut's Dynamite Cabarets
A punky collection including rhinestones, zebra and leopard prints and colored jeans.

Masahiko Saito
Shimmer, bright colors and voluminous skirts.

Zin Kato
Ruffles, volume and flower attachments.

Junya Tashiro
A soft neutral palette with beautiful ruffles and detailing.

Ato
An eighties vibe with bright colors.

Hisui

Fur Fur
Floral embellishments and earth toned color palette.

Montonari Ono
Beautiful silhouettes, boy meets girl.

Mercibeaucoup
Plaids, bright patterns and big jewels!

Takumi Hatakeyama
I love the bows on this dress.

Hey Anthea! Great post on Japanese Fashion, arent you so excited for your trip? You're going to have so much fun! I have a question, have you seen any shops with fedora's? I'm looking for one to wear this fall/winter and I've seen people wearing them but havent seen them in stores. Let me know if you have any ideas of where I can find them.

I really think that Japanese designers are incredibly innovative. They often seem to find a way to think of whatever's going on in fashion in a completely new dimension.
